To become a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) and join Gustav Hoffman Camp #1838, you must be a male descendant of a Confederate soldier who served honorably in the Civil War. Proof of lineage is required, and acceptable documentation includes military service records, pension applications, or other historical records. Membership is open to those who uphold the values of Southern heritage and wish to honor their ancestors’ legacy.
